  • September, 2002 - J. Bruce Terry has been appointed to the position of Vice Chairman, Marsh Inc., a subsidiary of Marsh & McLennan Companies (NYE:MMC). Marsh Inc. is the world leader in delivering risk and insurance services and solutions, providing global risk management consulting, insurance broking and insurance program management services for businesses, public entities, associations, professional services organizations and private clients. During his 22 years as an accomplished Senior Executive, Mr. Terry has completed more than 60 mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and financial transactions with a cumulative value of over $25 billion. Most recently, he has held the positions of Sr. Executive VP, Finance and Planning for Shoppers Drug Mart and Sr. VP & CFO of McCain Foods Ltd.

  • September 24, 2002 - Rick Jones of The Maunsell Group has recently completed a transaction involving the sale of Xycorp Inc., whom he represented, to TrekLogic Inc. (TSX Venture: TKI) adding approximately $5.0 million sales to the Toronto-based operations of TrekLogic. TrekLogic acquired 100% of the Common Shares of Xycorp, an IT Professional Services company with over 20 years of successful operations. Clients include a number of high-profile industrial and financial services companies and the Ontario Government. Mr. Jones was C.E.O. of Xycorp for 6 months during which time the company had substantial financial gains. As well, he facilitated the introduction of the parties and led the negotiations on behalf of Xycorp through to closing.

  • August 19, 2002 - Al Morra has recently completed an assignment as SVP and General Manager of Lason Canada, the Canadian subsidiary of Lason Inc., which filed for Chapter 11 in December of 2001 and exited on June 30, 2002. Lason is in media to media conversion specializing in microfiche, film, data capture and high speed digital scanning. Clients included many major financial institutions and in high speed scanning, they lead the market in the back file conversion of hospital patient records into EPRS systems. During his term, Mr. Morra restructured the accounting, operations and marketing functions of the company and brought it to record levels of profitability.

(Nasdaq:MDER, www.med-emerg.com), the leading private sector provider of healthcare management and consulting services to the Canadian healthcare industry, Bill Thomson has recently been heavily involved in corporate restructuring and debt and equity financing.

  • August 8, 2002 - Bill Thomson, in addition to his role as a Director, has recently been engaged by Elegant Communications Inc. (www.elegant.com), a software development company with extensive consulting experience in the area of UNIX and Linux systems auditing for security assurance and proactive systems management, to seek a purchaser for the business.
